Conditions We Treat:
Joint Replacement Center
Using advanced diagnostic tools and sophisticated treatment options with minimally invasive robotic surgical methods, orthopedic surgeons and a multidisciplinary team of caregivers are dedicated to creating customized treatment plans for each patient. Our experienced rehabilitation team will provide a therapy plan designed to help ensure appropriate pain management so that you can effectively rehabilitate the affected joint and have a smooth recovery.
At Broward Health Medical Center we offer a class to help our patients prepare for surgery. This allows us to answer any questions prior to surgery and help make sure our patients and their caregivers know what to expect before, during and after the surgery. Please call the Joint Replacement Center at 954-712-4274 for information about the Joint Placement Program.

The Latest Technology
We're always staying at the forefront of technology. Broward Health offers advanced minimally invasive technology for total hip and knee replacements. This innovative robotic arm solution is designed to enable surgeons in attaining a new level of precision to restore your mobility and active lifestyle.
How Does the Technology Work?
Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology is a treatment option for adults living with mid to late-stage osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip and knee. The technology provides you with a personalized surgical plan based on your unique anatomy. First, a CT scan of the diseased knee joint is taken. This CT scan is uploaded into the system software, where a 3D model of your knee is created. This 3D model is used to pre-plan and assist your surgeon in performing your total hip, knee or partial knee replacement.
Benefits of the surgery may include:
• Shorter recovery times
• No activity limitations
• Less pain
• Decreased dislocation
• Less scarring
• More natural feeling hip
Medicare’s Comprehensive Care
For Joint Replacement Model
Broward Health North is participating in a Medicare initiative called the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model. The CJR model aims to promote quality and financial accountability for care surrounding lower-extremity joint replacement (LEJR) procedures, commonly referred to as hip and knee replacements and/or other major leg procedures. Broward Health North’s participation in the CJR model should not restrict your access to care for your medical condition or your freedom to choose your health care providers and services. All existing Medicare beneficiary protections continue to be available to you. These include the ability to report concerns of substandard care to Quality Improvement Organizations and 1-800-MEDICARE.
The CJR model aims to help give you better care.
Broward Health North has entered into financial arrangements with collaborating health care providers who are engaged in care redesign with the hospital and who may furnish health care services to Medicare beneficiaries during an episode of care. Under these agreements, Broward Health North may share payments received from Medicare as a result of reduced episode spending and hospital internal cost savings with collaborating providers and suppliers. Broward Health North may also share financial accountability for increased episode spending with collaborating providers and suppliers. The following list includes health care providers and suppliers that have established a collaborator agreement with Broward Health North in order to share in financial rewards and/or losses in the CJR model:
